Wasp stimulation electrodes are used in research settings to administer a quick and intense transcutaneous electrical shock to human participants, to evaluate pain threshold. The cables attached to these wasp electrodes can be customised with a range of cable types and termination configurations to suit different experimental requirements.

6.5mm outer ring diameter.
2.0mm inner ring diameter, with platinum pin set at 0.5mm (±0.25mm) height.
Connection wires are supplied, already attached to the electrode (standard 2m length; different lengths available on request). There are three cable options:
- Mini-Coax RG174, multi stranded inner conductor (RECOMMENDED)
- Audio-grade, screened wire, 1.6mm OD
There are a further four options for wire termination:
- 4mm Banana Plug
- 4mm Touch Proof Socket
- 1.5mm Touch Proof Socket
- Bare end - cut flush to the insulation
