tES MRI Electrodes, with safety resistor
Non-returnable
£330.00
A safety resister cable is to be used alongside MRI compatible electrodes and are designed to further protect patients and monitoring equipment from strong radio frequency fields released from an MRI machine. The strong radio frequency fields can induce currents in the electrode leads causing heating at the point of contact between the skin and electrode, which could lead to irritation, burns or unintended stimulation. To minimise these unwanted risks, a safety resistor cable contains a built-in resistor that increases the impedance of the wire and limits the amount of current that can flow through the cable, overall, reducing electric and thermal risk and contributing to reliable signal quality and accurate recordings.
